Ako sa zbavím Opery

Čaute, mám jednu otázočku.

Nejakým spôsobom mám v Macu 3 verzie prehliadača Opera. Skutočne si nespomínam že by som to niekedy inštaloval, keďže používam defaultne Safari. Zaujímave je, že keď dám v Spotlighte vyhľadať výraz “Opera” nič mi nenájde. Neviem v ktorom umiestnení mám hľadať aby som to vymazal.

Opera sa automaticky inštaluje s niektorými aplikáciami (napr. Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver a pod.)
Spootlight ti ukáže “folder”, teda miesto kde je na disku, keď necháš kurzor myši nad tým foldrom, tak ti ukáže “path” teda cestu kde sa nachádza (prípadne 2x klikni na ten folder a cestu ti ukáže finder)

To je ale ten problém, že keď to dám vyhľadať tak mi nič nenájde. Tvári sa že to nikde na disku nie je. Prito v poli “Open With” sa mi tam ukazuje niekoľko verzií opery:

Skúšal som EasyFind a našlo mi len 9.6 verziu. Kde ale nájdem tie ostatné. Podľa všetkého sa mi tam niekde schovávajú aj verzie 9.1 a 9.2. Prosím, ako sa ich zbavím. Keď vymažem 9.6 verziu, tie ostatné sú tam…

Ok, tak podme na to. Takze spusti si Operu (kazdu jednotlivo). V docku sa ti zobrazi ikonka, ktora bude s najvacsou pravdepodobnostou odkazom na aplikaciu browsera niekde mimo adresara Applications. Klikni na ikonku – right click. Potom stlac SHOW IN FINDER. Ukaze ti adresar, kde je OPERA. :-) No a potom uz asi vies co mas robit. Pravdepodobne zmazanie by malo zabranit Opere aby sa objavila v Contextual menu.

Daj vediet, ci pomohlo. Trebars aj na Skladovej … ;-)

How do I uninstall Opera for Mac?

Follow these instructions if you wish to uninstall Opera for Mac:

1. If you have a registered version, click
Unregister in the
About Opera box

2. Delete the “Opera 6 Preferences”, located in the

/Users/[your username]/Library/Preferences folder

3. Delete the Opera application folder

Launch Opera however it likes to be launched (in your case, via a contextual menu).

Go to your dock; you will see the Opera application once it’s running with the black arrow beside the icon (even if you removed it from the dock previously). Option-click or right-click the icon in the dock; select “Show In Finder”, and voila:
OSX will take you to where on your HD it’s located. Delete it.

If you have multiple copies of the application (and an app can run from anywhere; you don’t have to put it in the Applications folder if you don’t want to) repeat, rinse, until it can’t find any more copies to launch.

Done.

Note that:
Be sure you remove the application, not an alias when you want to delete it; you might have mistook one for the other when you tried to remove it the first time. You can always check if it’s an alias or an application by using Get Info (highlight, then Command-I or Control/Right-click and select “Get Info”).

Removing an icon from the dock does nothing except remove an icon from the dock; the program or document is still in the same place. You didn’t say so exactly, so that might not be the issue here, but some people confuse removing from the dock with removing the application itself.

If you have Macromedia Contribute or Dreamweaver, it includes the Opera browser, typically in the Macromedia folder in your Applications folder. I’m sure it’s possible some other web tools might do the same (eg Freeway, etc).
